Bioland GOLD

The Bioland certificate in gold creates trust among our guests and sustainably supports our profile.

When choosing our ingredients, we follow the strict guidelines of Germany’s leading organic farming association Bioland. We work together with certified Bioland farms that operate in a cycle-friendly manner, do not use synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, stand for species-appropriate animal husbandry and process food gently.

Since the beginning of 2019, the culinary delights in the SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA have been under Bioland GOLD certification. This means that at least 90% of the carefully selected ingredients of our dishes and drinks are selected products in excellent organic quality. Thus, we offer organic cuisine at the highest standards, with regional origin, seasonal freshness, transparency and hand-crafted gentle preparation. The Bioland certificate is granted to partners that almost exclusively use organic food: In the kitchen of the SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA, organic food makes up almost 100%.

The EU Commission’s “New Green Deal” with the strategy “Farm-to-Fork – F2F” validates our way to rely completely on consistent organic farming and animal-friendly husbandry. Under this strategy, the European Commission has set a target of ‘at least 25% of the EU’s agricultural land under organic farming by 2030’. With our nibbling garden, we are fully on board – based on the motto from patch to fork .

SchwaPa Biokids

Our impulse for environmental and sustainability education at the schools in our region.

Our initiative project “SchwaPa Biokids” gives elementary school students in the third and fourth grades a new approach to food and environmental protection. I In various events spread over the school year, the children are taught within a working group (AG) about harvesting, animal husbandry, food production and processing, cooking, service, nutrition and etiquette, sustainability, cycles, biodiversity and climate protection.
Heilbronn University is responsible for the content on the topic of sustainability. Students prepare the field of knowledge for the children. In addition, the educators of the Falkenstein School and the hotel team with various sustainability partners from the network of the SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA are involved. The result is exciting and highly interesting afternoons for the children that are fun and, above all, set the foundations for the future.
